Moldovan Casino and Card Room Gaming

Casino gaming in Moldova is regulated by the Ministry of Finance through the Gaming Act of 1999. Licenses are issued for a period of one year. Casino licenses cost 600,000 lei and a slot hall license costs 200,000 lei or 25,000 lei per machine.

Since 2016, casinos have been regulated under Law No. 291/2016 on the organization and conduct of gambling: casinos are the only gambling activity not reserved to the state monopoly, and may be operated by private companies under license, while all other verticals are managed via the National Lottery of Moldova.
